【摘要】:Thisspecificationcoversrequirements,testmethods,andmethodsofmarkingforchlorinatedpoly(vinylchloride)plastichot-andcold-waterdistributionsystemcomponentsmadeinonestandarddimensionratioandintendedforwaterserviceuptoandincluding180F(82C).Thesecomponentscomprisepipeandtubing,socket-typefittings,streetfittings,plastic-to-metaltransitionfittings,solventcements,andadhesives.Requirementsandmethodsoftestareincludedformaterials,workmanship,dimensionsandtolerances,hydrostaticsustainedpressurestrength,andthermocyclingresistance.Thecomponentscoveredbythisspecificationareintendedforuseinresidentialandcommercial,hotandcold,potablewaterdistributionsystems.Theproductscoveredbythisspecificationareintendedforusewiththedistributionofpressurizedliquidsonly,whicharechemicallycompatiblewiththepipingmaterials.Duetoinherenthazardsassociatedwithtestingcomponentsandsystemswithcompressedairorothercompressedgasessomemanufacturersdonotallowpneumatictestingoftheirproducts.Consultwithspecificproduct/componentmanufacturersfortheirspecifictestingprocedurespriortopneumatictesting.Note1Pressurized(compressed)airorothercompressedgasescontainlargeamountsofstoredenergywhichpresentserioussafteyhazardsshouldasystemfailforanyreason.Thetextofthisspecificationreferencesnotes,footnotes,andappendixeswhichprovideexplanatorymaterial.Thesenotesandfootnotes(excludingthoseintablesandfigures)shallnotbeconsideredasrequirementsofthespecification.Thevaluesstatedineitherinch-poundorSIunitsaretoberegardedseparatelyasstandard.Withinthetext,SIunitsareshowninbrackets.Thevaluesstatedineachsystemarenotexactequivalents;therefore,eachsystemshallbeusedindependentlyoftheother.Combiningvaluesfromthetwosystemsmayresultinnonconformancewiththespecification.Suggestedhydrostaticdesignstressesandhydrostaticpressureratingsforpipe,tubing,andfittingsarelistedin.Design,assembly,andinstallationconsiderationsarediscussedin.Anoptionalperformancequalificationandanin-plantqualitycontrolprogramarerecommendedin.Thefollowingsafetyhazardscaveatpertainsonlytothetestmethodportion,Sectionsand,ofthisspecification:Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
